D-mail/P-mail

These are postal items that are charged on the basis of a special fee in cases when one sender sends a large number of printed matters (more than 300 items at once) or small packets (more than 50 items at once).

Feature of D-mail (priority bulk airmail)

  • This is a highly beneficial fee that applies when a large number of items is sent at once, for example, up to 2kg of printed matters (DM etc) or up to 2 kg of small packets with overseas mail-order goods.
  • For example, in case of printed matters sent by Airmail, the maximum discount could be up to about 39%.
  • The items will be handled as priority ones when delivered by Airmail.

Feature of P-mail (nonpriority bulk airmail)

  • This is a highly beneficial fee that applies when a large number of items are sent at once, such as up to 5kg of printed matters (DM etc) or up to 2 kg of small packets with overseas mail-order goods, that allow taking a little bit longer until the delivery.
  • Comparing to D-mail, it takes several more days until the delivery.

  • Please classify your items by receiving country (region) and special service, according to the instructions by the relevant post office.
  • Please clearly write a receiving country name (region) as well as “航空割引 (Airmail Discount)” in the form issued by the relevant post office and bundle or attach it to your postal items.

    (OR “Par avion” and “Imprimé”)
  • For Small Packets
    “Air Mail” and “Small Packet”
    (OR “Par avion” and “Petit Pãcket”)

※ If you can bundle your items together with the completed form that states “Special Airmail Discount” as a classification, writing “Airmail, Non-Priority” can be omitted.

Payment Method

It applies to items paid for using one of the following methods: payment of postage without affixed postage stamps, payment of postage by the use of a franking machine or post-payment of postage.
